AVITECH rubber blocks, also known as resilient wheel pads or rubber inserts, are designed for use between the wheel tyre and wheel disc in resilient wheel assemblies for trams and metro vehicles. They help isolate vibration, absorb impacts and reduce structure-borne noise transmitted through the wheel and rail interface.
The individual rubber elements are arranged within the wheel assembly to provide the required elastic support. Their segmented configuration can facilitate assembly and maintenance, depending on the wheel design and installation conditions.
Rubber compound selection, geometry and dimensional tolerances are considered according to the wheel assembly's technical requirements. AVITECH manufactures rubber components for railway wheel applications based on customer drawings and specifications.
